I took voluntary redundancy two years ago and I decided it was time to get off my arse and do something rather than stagnate.
Last year I had the idea of doing a charity ride and having bought a Gilera Fuoco in July I thought a sponsored ride around the coast of the UK mainland would be a personal challenge and at the same time act as a fund raiser for charity.
I shall be sticking as close to the coastline as possible but avoiding peninsulas where there isn't a through route. It will be a solo ride and I shall be staying in youth hostels mostly and keeping the weekends free to let me enjoy the ride too and to recover for the next week.
